IMU-CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test's eligibility requirements are stated in the Academic Brochure which can be downloaded from the official website of IMU. Candidates should familiarise themselves with the eligibility criteria before applying for the IMU-CET. The eligibility criteria vary from program to program. Candidates will have their applications declined if they do not meet the IMU-CET eligibility requirements.
The requirement of subjects and minimum marks for admission to different courses are given below:

10+2 or equivalent (PCM-60% average) OR, B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or B.Sc Electronics with Physics as an individual subject in one of the years with an average of not less than 55% of marks in the final year OR, B.E./B. Tech from IIT or college recognized by AICTE with an average of not less than 50% of aggregate in the final year.

Tech in Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers Part A and B in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% aggregate marks (by examination).OR MEO Class I Certificate of Competency.

To be eligible for admission, candidates from all categories are required to participate in and successfully qualify for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by IMU. The only exceptions to this requirement are candidates who possess the specified GATE/GRE scores in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Naval Architecture. However, even these candidates will only be considered for admission in the remaining seats available.
