NIFTEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for the undergraduate (B.Des and B.F.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Des, M.F.Tech and MFM) courses offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) are mentioned below:

Undergraduate program Eligibility:

Any candidate who meets the required age and academic requirements listed below for the relevant programme can submit an application:

• Age Limit: The candidate must be under the age of 24 as of 01 August 2023. Candidates from the SC, ST, and PwD categories will have their maximum age limit relaxed by FIVE years.

• Qualifying Exam: 

  • The candidate must have passed the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. (with Physics and Mathematics for B.F.Tech degree)

  • A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. (with Physics and Mathematics for B.F.Tech degree)

  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to

  • 10+2 system. (with Physics and Mathematics for B.F.Tech degree)

  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB). (with Physics and Mathematics for B.F.Tech degree)

Postgraduate program Eligibility:

Any candidate who meets the required age and academic requirements listed below for the relevant programme can submit an application:

• Age Limit: No Age Limit is required for the candidates.

• Qualifying Exam: 

  • Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognized by law in India

  • Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID.

  • B.F.Tech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) / any Institute / University recognized by law in India (for M.F.Tech degree only)

Note: The candidates who are taking board examinations during the admission year may also apply, providing they meet the eligibility requirements at the time of counselling/admission.
