As rain lashed most parts of Kolkata and its outskirts on Monday evening as part of a Nor’wester, most commuters returning home were caught unawares. Since the rain brought an end to a 46-day dry spell, which comprised almost a sweltering month of 40-plus temperatures, not many were complaining
