Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chikmagalur (AIT Chikmagalur) had its inception in 1980 to provide higher technical education to the students living in Chikmagalur.

It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE], and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). AIT Chikmagalur covers more than 65 acres of land in an ever-green atmosphere. It exerts all kinds of state-ofthe-art infrastructure through its astounding Wi-Fi enabled campus. The students are facilitated with enormous useful collections in both their physical and online library. Students may also enroll in Ph. D courses as well.
