Admission Procedure

Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru offers BE, MTech, MCA, MBA, and PhD degrees.

BIT Bengaluru offers admission to First year BE courses through three modes including Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)/ Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Entrance Exam (COMEDK), and Management quota.

To be eligible for MTech, students must have a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) qualified score or Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) score. For MCA, Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) or PGCET score is mandatory.

In the case of MBA, admission is possible through PGCET and Management Quota. As for the entrance exams, KMAT, Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)/Management Aptitude Test (MAT)/ and PGCET are mandatory.

Candidates who wish to enroll in the Ph.D. program must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their M.Tech degree under the respective specialization and appear for the VTU Eligibility Test. Furthermore, they will be assessed based on their entrance test scores and their research topic presentation in front of the VTU identified panel members. Successful candidates will be granted admission.
