Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, formerly known as Meerut University, was established in 1965 to provide higher education to the people of western Uttar Pradesh. Nowadays, CCSU Meerut is one of the premier educational institutions in the country, boasting an expansive and idyllic campus with an area of 222 acres. CCSU Meerut has also been approved by UGC, AICTE, BCI, and other recognized bodies.

CCSU Meerut offers ample undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses. CCSU Meerut follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website.

CCSU Meerut has dedicated and trained faculty. The mission of the faculty is to open up access to high-quality education and excellence via diligent efforts at critical thought, teamwork in research, and the production of knowledge of international standards in a collaborative setting.

CCSU Meerut has a total of 164 classrooms, which are spacious and well-ventilated. These classrooms are equipped with modern audio-visual systems, including LCD projectors and smart boards, to facilitate effective teaching and learning. CCSU Meerut also has 85 well-equipped laboratories, which are fully compliant with statutory guidelines. CCSU Meerut has a total of 46 computer labs, which are equipped with modern computer systems and high-speed internet connectivity to cater to the computing needs of students and faculty. The Raja Mahendra Pratap Library is one of the most significant features of the university infrastructure. It is spread over an area of 4500 square meters and has a vast collection of books, journals, magazines, and other reading materials. The library has a total of 161,664 volumes, including 114,879 titles, 31,800 bound volumes of journals, and 14,650 Ph.D. theses. The library also subscribes to 82 foreign journals, 106 Indian journals, and 42 magazines. In addition, the library has 312 e-journals, 2175 e-theses, and 67,000 e-books, which are accessible to students and faculty through the library portal. CCSU Meerut has 35 seminar halls, which are used for various academic and non-academic activities, including guest lectures, workshops, and conferences. CCSU Meerut has a spacious and well-maintained canteen that caters to the food needs of students and faculty. CCSU Meerut has a 1250-seated auditorium and two 240-seated mini-auditoriums halls, which are used for various academic and non-academic activities. CCSU Meerut has facilities for indoor and outdoor games, including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, carom, cricket, badminton, football, and wrestling. There is also a dedicated Yoga Centre and Gymnasium on campus to promote physical fitness among students and faculty. A separate branch of Allahabad Bank is available on campus to cater to the banking needs of students and faculty. CCSU Meerut also has a health center (medical dispensary) that provides basic medical services to students and faculty. CCSU Meerut has separate hostels for boys and girls, which are well-maintained and equipped with all modern facilities and amenities.

The Campus of CCSU Meerut has its own Placement Cell that works as a center for career guidance and employment bureau, providing essential information and support to the students in their job searches. Additionally, the State Government has established an employment bureau on the ground floor of the University's Central Library.

At CCSU Meerut, Scholarships are distributed yearly to Ph.D. research scholars who come from financially constrained backgrounds, including candidates who have qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) as well as those who have achieved academic excellence but do not have NET certification.

Admission Procedure

Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut offers ample undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses. CCSU Meerut follows an online admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the college's website.

For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for PG admission, candidates must complete a bachelor's degree. Admissions to Masters of Education (M.Ed.), and Master of Laws (L.L.M.) at the University Campus shall be made via Entrance Tests organized by CCSU Meerut which will be followed by Counselling. All other courses, such as Masters, Bachelor, and Diploma programs, will be offered on the basis of an online Merit List generated on a single portal.

Candidates for PhD admission, must complete master's degree from any university.
