Pharm course is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Kolkata and the D. Pharm course is recognized by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB) and Directorate of Medical Education (DME).

The admission procedure of HIP Haldia follows both online and offline modes where the selection is merit score based.

Admission Procedure
Haldia Institute of Pharmacy, Haldia follows an online method of admission. Admissions to HIP Haldia are mainly based on the merit and eligibility criteria of the applicants. HIP Haldia offers Undergraduate course under the faculty of B.Pharm and Diploma course. Applicants applying for B.Pharm must sit for West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE) and accordingly admission occurs following the rank of the applicants. Applicants applying for B.Pharm must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board in in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology with a Minimum of 45% marks. Applicants applying for the D.Pharm course must have passed 10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Bord in in Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics / Biotechnology / Biology.
