Admission Procedure
Indian Institute of Technology, Madras’s admissions are conducted through online. To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must meet all the required eligibility requirements of the course in which the candidate is applying for. The candidate has to go through the online admission process in the website. Most importantly the candidates must get a valid Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced score in order to be admitted to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), B.Tech-M.Tech and B.Sc-M.Sc programmes. While the admission criteria and eligibility differ from course to course, all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Primarily the admission of this IIT Madras takes place on the merit obtained in the aforesaid exams.
