IIT Mandi is a co-ed institution that offers multiple undergraduate courses like B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science and Engineering, Engineering Physics. Alongside, B.Tech - M.Tech in Bio-Engineering - Dual Degree is also offered to students. Candidates willing to take admission to IIT Mandi must meet all the eligibility criteria of the course in which they are applying for. The admissions process is carried out entirely online via the official website. Most importantly, they have to appear for the JEE Advanced and scores obtained in that examination will determine their selection.
Needy meritorious students are offered a range of scholarships and financial aid. Scholarships are given on the basis of a student's financial state and/or the academic performance.

Admission Procedure
Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi’s admissions are conducted online. To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must meet all the required eligibility requirements of the course for which they candidate is applying for. The candidate has to go through the online admission process on the website. Most importantly the candidates must get a valid Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) score in order to be admitted to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech-M.Tech Dual Degree programmes. While the admission criteria and eligibility differ from course to course, all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Primarily admission to this institution takes place on the merit obtained in the aforesaid exams.
IIT Mandi also provides courses for the Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Business Administration (MBA), M.Tech (Research), M.Tech (Research)-PhD Dual degree and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in the fields of engineering, science, and humanities & social science. Students must pass the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) entrance exam to be admitted to the M.Tech, M.Tech (Research), M.Tech (Research)-PhD Dual degree program, and the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) to be admitted to the M.Sc programme. MBA admissions are done on the basis of Common Admission Test (CAT). Additionally, admission to the PhD programme requires a master's degree with at least 60% of the requisite marks. Admission for PhD degree are carried out on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), University Grants Commission (UGC NET), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) exams.
Faculty
The Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi has a bunch of world class well-qualified faculty members who are very caring about the techniques of teaching and learning, they are very approachable and supportive. They use understandable and receprocative teaching methods in their classroom.
Placements
Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi has a Career and Placement Cell called CnP that manages all placement-related activities. Faculty members, placement officers, and student volunteers create the CnP. For IIT Mandi placements, numerous companies visit the school annually. Placements made in the campus are advantageous for both the recruiter and the candidate. Every year, the placement drive at IIT Mandi is effective, with about 75–80% of the registered and qualified undergraduate students being placed. Companies like Yodlee, Ceremorphic, Qualcomm, Intel, CDAC, Jaguar Land Rover India, L&T, ACME, Marvell, Indeed, TCS, and Samsung visited the IIT Mandi campus in order to recruit employees.
