Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi), was established in 2008 by an Act of Delhi Legislature.
Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), IIIT Delhi offers 8 undergraduate (UG), 10 postgraduate (PG), 1 diploma (DIP) and 6 doctorate (PhD) courses for students to pursue. The UG courses at IIIT Delhi are for the degree of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in various specialisations, while the PG courses are for Master of Technology (M.Tech). Admission Procedure
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi conducts the admission process under the guidelines of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The students interested in applying at IIIT Delhi can apply through the official website of the institute. The selection of applicants for the undergraduate degree courses is made according to the merits secured by the students in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board along with merits secured through the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) (JEE-Mains). The selection of the applicants for the postgraduate degree courses is made according to the merits secured by the candidates in their bachelor's degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate along with the merits secured by the applicants in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). For the doctoral degree courses, the selection of the applicants is made according to the merits secured by the students in their postgraduate degree course in the relevant subject with a minimum of 70% marks in aggregate.
