Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan (JUIT, Solan) was founded by the Govt of Himachal Pradesh and the Founder Chairman of Jaypee Group Shri JaiPrakash Gaur in 2002. Like any other educational institutions JUIT, Solan also fosters an urge of chasing the height of excellence. The mission of JUIT, Solan seeks to impart quality education based on intrinsic core values of integrity, morality and cultivate an exemplary pedagogy and raise eminent professionals adorning the world tomorrow and thus to heighten the status of the institution itself as being exceptionally good. JUIT, Solan offers a wide range of undergraduate postgraduate and research programs under the faculties of science, and engineering. The admission is conducted in online mode based on merit and eligibility criteria. The faculties strive hard to rear the valuable mission of the institution of raising educational professionals through value-based learning through a pleasurable pedagogy. The teachers take continuous theoritical and practical assessments in order to ensure the correct evaluation of each of the students. The Training and Placement Cell centrally tackles campus placement of the graduating students of JIIT Noida (U.P.), JUIT Solan (H.P.), JUET Guna (M.P.), JU Anoopshahr (U.P.). Besides guiding for the recruitment drives the cell also hosts pre-placement talks, written/on-line tests, group giscussions, and interviews. Some of the recruiters are Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft etc.

Admission Procedure
Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan conducts its admission procedure according to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) guidelines and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The students interested in seeking admission at the esteemed institute can apply through the official website of the university. The admissions for the undergraduate degree courses are made according to themerits secured by the candidate in the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. The selection of the applicants for the postgraduate degree courses are made according to the merits secured by the applicants in their undergraduate degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university. For the doctoral degree courses the applicants are selected on the basis of the merits secured by the students in their postgraduate degree course in the relevant subject discipline from a recognised university along with the merits secured by the applicants in their MPhill course
