With the help of Lord Venkateswara, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati's(SVIMS Tirupati) tertiary care referral facility and the crown jewel of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has made a name for itself as a reputable medical university. On the model of the AIIMS in New Delhi, SVIMS Tirupati was created in 1986, and on April 18, 1986, the late Sri. N. T. Rama Rao, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, set the cornerstone in the revered pilgrimage center of Tirupati.

SVIMS Tirupati was founded with the intention of offering Super Specialty facilities at a low cost to the underprivileged. SVIMS Tirupati's main goals are to provide service, educate the public, train future medical professionals, and conduct research in cutting-edge medical fields. Academic, research, and healthcare services have grown tremendously during the past 20 years at SVIMS Tirupati.

The outstanding work that SVIMS Tirupati has done in carrying out both the Sri Venkateswara Pranadana program of the TTD and the YSR Vaidya Seva scheme of the government of Andhra Pradesh is especially heartwarming. SVIMS Tirupati is recognized by both the Medical Council of India (MCI/NMC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). SVIMS Tirupati offers numerous UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, and Ph.D. degrees. SVIMS Tirupati follows an online admission procedure.

SVIMS Tirupati has a dedicated and trained faculty. The mission of the faculty is to provide higher-level medical care, education, and research facilities in the medical sciences for the existing super specialties and any new ones that may emerge in the future, such as hospital administration and continuing medical education.

SVIMS Tirupati, which occupies a 107.4-acre campus, is steadily becoming a renowned university. With 38 super/broad specialty medical departments, three colleges, and two interdisciplinary departments currently operating under its roof, SVIMS Tirupati is quickly becoming a center of excellence for high-quality medical care, instruction, and research. There is a reputable library with a collection of 20921 books and 149 print journals with subscriptions (88 foreign and 60 Indian). It has 7184 back volumes of journals going all the way back to 1993. It has 15 nodes for internet browsing and an e-library available for users. It has an electronic library with 15 nodes for academic, graduate, and undergraduate students to utilize. Through its super specialty hospital and Sri Padmavathi Medical College Hospital, SVIMS Tirupati provides training. Together, the two hospitals can accommodate 1052 patients at this time. SVIMS Tirupati also offers both male and female hostels.

Admission Procedure

For UG and Diploma admissions, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. For PG and PG diploma admissions, candidates must complete bachelor's degree from any university.
