Bun Tikki stars Zeenat Aman, Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol attended the wrap party of the upcoming Faraz Arif Ansari directorial at Bollywood fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s house recently, show pictures shared by Ansari on Instagram.
“#BunTikki Wrap Up Party. Thank you, @manishmalhotra05 for being the BEST PRODUCER & THE BESTEST HOST EVER,” Ansari wrote alongside an Instagram carousel shared on Tuesday.
The first picture shows Ansari striking a pose with the leading ladies Zeenat and Shabana. Manish and Abhay also feature in the picture alongside the trio. While Shabana showed up in a black co-ord set with multicolour motifs, Zeenat went for a black tunic featuring a lacy neckline and sleeves paired with a long skirt.
Abhay was dressed nattily in a maroon velvet jacket worn over a pastel-pink t-shirt paired with denim jeans. Manish and Ansari twinned in black, with the latter sporting a Manish Malhotra blazer and funky glasses.
A fresh carousel shared by Ansari later on Tuesday shows him and Manish with Nushrratt Bharuccha in one frame. Adding to the fun was Bun Tikki (Indian version of burger) being served at the party, shows one of the pictures.
Ansari also shared a behind-the-scenes video from the poster shoot of the film. “BTS of the poster shoot for the film “Bun Tikki” with these legends @azmishabana18 and @thezeenataman, along with my on screen child @rohaanpsingh. Grateful to have a life where my passion is my profession. I couldn’t ask for more,” he wrote.
The video shows Shabana, Zeenat, Abhay and child actor Rohaan P Singh sitting on a green bench and having fun while getting clicked for the poster.
Ansari, known for his films like Sisak (2017), Sheer Qorma (2021) and Siberia (2015), shared a heartfelt note about the “unbridled joy” of directing Shabana and Zeenat together in his film.
“Don’t think I will ever have the words to comprehend how very blessed I am to have had this honour of directing these legends. only love and gratitude for @manishmalhotra05 for making this happen in the best way possible,” he wrote alongside a picture of him deeply engrossed in a conversation with the two Bollywood veterans.
Bun Tikki is backed by Manish’s production company Stage 5 Productions. His first project was Train From Chhapraula, directed by Tisca Chopra. Manish recently also hosted the wrap party of Vibhu Puri’s upcoming romantic drama Ul Jalool Ishq, which was the third film produced by his company.
