Television actress Poulomi Das was evicted this week from the Anil Kapoor-hosted reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3, streaming 24X7 on the JioCinema, following a high-stakes stepper task.

Poulomi is the second contestant to face a mid-week eviction from the show. Boxer Neeraj Goyat was the first contestant to be eliminated mid-week in the first week, followed by YouTuber Payal Malik’s eviction during Weekend Ka Vaar.

Six contestants — Naezy, Chandrika Dixit, Munisha Khatwani, Shivani Kumari, Vishal Pandey, and Poulomi — were nominated for eviction this week. Bigg Boss announced that Naezy, Shivani, Vishal and Chandrika were safe as per audience votes.

To decide who will be leaving the house, Bigg Boss introduced a high-stakes stepper task. The bottom two contestants — Munisha and Poulomi — had to keep a stepper running, with the bottom placement determined by the voting trends during the task.

In an unexpected twist, Bigg Boss asked Janta Ka Agent Luv Kataria to save one contestant. He chose Munisha, resulting in Poulomi's eviction from the show.

Last week, Poulomi had a heated exchange with Shivani inside the Bigg Boss house after the latter pushed Poulomi during a task. Poulomi was also schooled by Anil Kapoor during Weekend Ka Vaar for making unwarranted comments about Chandrika’s profession. Anil had reprimanded her for not participating in a task in which she had to choose between Vishal and Love.

Following her eviction from the Bigg Boss house, Poulomi took to Instagram to thank her fans. “The love and support YOU ALL have shown me over these 12 days has been truly overwhelming. Although my journey was brief, I know I had so much more to give. However, I am deeply grateful for each and every one of you ,” she wrote.
