Dharmendra has penned an emotional note for Hema Malini and their daughters Esha and Ahana Deol, apologising for not personally inviting them to the recent wedding of Karan Deol.
The Sholay actor posted the note on Instagram on Thursday alongside an old picture with his eldest daughter. He cited his old age and illness as the cause for the mistake. “Esha , Ahana , Hema and all my darling kids ……loving Takhtani’s and Vohra’s l love you and respect you all from the core of my heart……age and illness is telling upon me I could have spoken personally to to you ……..but 🙏,” wrote the 87-year-old actor.
Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol tied the knot with Drisha Acharya in a star-studded wedding on June 18. Karan is the son of Dharmendra’s eldest son Sunny Deol from the veteran actor’s first marriage with Prakash Kaur.
However, Dharmendra’s second wife Hema Malini and their children were conspicuously absent from the event. Later, Esha congratulated the newlyweds on her Instagram Stories.
After Dharmendra’s post, Esha also took to Instagram to share an image from her wedding day with the actor and her mother Hema. “Love you papa . You are the best. Love you unconditionally & you know that . Cheer up & always be happy & healthy. Love u 😘🧿,” she wrote.
Dharmendra will next be seen in director Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic drama film Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. He also share screen space with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in a yet-to-be titled romantic film.
