Filmmaker James Cameron and actor Prabhas share their insights into the creative prowess of S.S. Rajamouli in the trailer of the episode on the Tamil film director, who helmed blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, in Netflix’s Modern Master series on Indian creatives.

Dropped by the streamer on Monday, the two-minute-11-second-long trailer begins with Rajamouli, who shared his vision for a film. “I want to tell an incredible story. I just want the people to get invested in the movie,” he says.

Subsequent scenes show actors Jr NTR, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Ram Charan talking about their experiences of working with the filmmaker. “He [Rajamouli] is born to make films, and he's born to tell stories that have never been told,” said Jr NTR in the video.

Baahubali star Prabhas said he hasn’t met anyone like Rajamouli in his life. “He’s a mad person, that’s all,” he affectionately said. Ram Charan, who shared screen space with Jr NTR in RRR, also shared his feeling about Rajamouli’s creative vision. “Sometimes I am shocked. I see myself as a third person when I see his films, even when I’m working in it,” he mentioned.

Cameron features in the trailer, highlighting Rajamouli’s flexibility to work with anybody. “He certainly has the respect to be able to do anything and work with anybody,” he said. Karan Johar also appears in the video, which showcases moments from promotional events and screenings of several films by Rajamouli.

When asked about the cons of working with the filmmaker, the actors opened up about him being a perfectionist. “He’s a mad man. There’s no point in arguing with him. Just deliver what he wants and get out of there,” Jr NTR said.
