The Ghost

Sony Music dropped the official trailer of superstar Nagarjuna’s upcoming Telugu action film, The Ghost, on Thursday. Directed by Praveen Sattaru, The Ghost will also feature Sonal Chauhan and Gul Panag in prominent roles.

The one-minute-53-second-long trailer promises an all-out actioner as Nagarjuna’s Vikram is hellbent on protecting his sister and niece from the hands of the criminal of the underworld. The 62-year-old star is wielding a katana and shooting bullets throughout the trailer as enemies try to attack his family.

Written and directed by Praveen Sattaru, the film also stars Anikha Surendran, Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma, Shrikanth Iyyangar and Bilal Hossein. The action choreography is done by Dinesh Subbarayan and Kecha Khamphadkee.

The Ghost is slated to hit the theatres on October 5.

Kacher Manush

Dev Entertainment Ventures released the official trailer of their upcoming Bengali drama Kacher Manush starring Dev and Prosenjit Chatterjee in lead roles. Written and directed by Pathikrit Basu, the film also stars Ishaa Saha and Susmita Chatterjee in prominent roles.

The almost three-minute-long trailer starts with a clip of 1968’s Jiban Kahini, in which actors Bikash Roy and Anup Kumar are conversing about life and death. Kacher Manush explores the themes of life and death as Dev’s character wants to die in a bid to get the money from his life insurance to help her paralysed mother lead a comfortable life. Prosenjit plays a life insurance agent, who is helping Dev to stage his suicide as an accident. The short clip also focuses on Dev’s love interest, played by Ishaa.

Kacher Manush will release in theatres on September 30.

Shiksha Mandal

MX Player has revealed the teaser of their upcoming original series, Shiksha Mandal…India’s Biggest Education Scam, starring Gauahar Khan and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles. The series is set to revolve around a fraud that shook the entire educational system of our country.

The short 23-second-long teaser vows to capture the grave reality of the situation and resonates with the current educational environment in India. The series is written by Syed Ahmad Afzal, who is also making his directorial debut with the series. Shiksha Mandal, which is inspired by true events, also stars veteran actor Pavan Malhotra, Rajendra Sethi, Iram Badar Khan, Shivaani Singh, Jaihind Kumar and Kumar Saurabh in prominent roles.

The trailer of Shiksha Mandal will be released on August 29.

My Best Friend’s Exorcism

Amazon Prime Video on Friday revealed the official trailer of their horror film, My Best Friend’s Exorcism. Helmed by Killing Eve director Damon Thomas, the film is an adaptation of Grady Hendrix’S cult hit novel of the same name.

The official synopsis reads: “Their friendship is tested when an evening of skinny-dipping goes wrong, and Gretchen begins to act differently and followed by bizarre occurrences. After some investigating, Abby begins to horrifyingly suspect that her friend may be possessed by a demon force.”

The two-minute-18-second-long trailer gives us a glimpse of its high school setting in the late ’8os and follows the relationship between Abby and Gretchen, two best friends and sophomores in high school. It stars Elsie Fisher, Amiah Miller, Cathy Ang, Rachel OgechiKanu and Christopher Lowell.

The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick

Amazon Prime Video UK on Friday released the official trailer for the new season of The Grand Tour. The famous trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are jumping in some new vehicles and heading to the Scandinavian Arctic Circle this time in The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick.

The two-minute-31-second-long trailer provides a sneak peek into the catastrophe-filled adventure that spreads across from the coast of Norway to the Russian Borders. A lot of new vehicles built for extreme cold weather are on show this time.

The official synopsis reads: “The boys are finally back. Strap yourselves in for a wild ride through Scandinavia with Clarkson, Hammond and May, as they take their favourite rally cars for a cold grand tour through ‘Europe’s last great wilderness’.”

The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from September 16.
