After breaking several records at the box office earlier this year, Tom Cruise-and-Jennifer Connelly-starrer Top Gun: Maverick, which has already reported a worldwide collection worth a whopping $1.5 billion, re-released in Indian theatres last week.

Top Gun: Maverick has also bagged a handful of nominations for the 80th Golden Globes Awards, slated to be presented on January 10, 2023. It will be competing for the coveted title of Best Motion Picture - Drama against Elvis, Avatar: The Way of Water, Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical film The Fabelmans and Tar. Lady Gaga, BloodPop and Benjamin Rice have also bagged nominations in the Best Original Song category for the Top Gun: Maverick song Hold My Hand.
