While Zakaria Street becomes the centre of attention whenever Ramzan comes around, another great option for foodies to visit is Rajabazar. Both sides of the main road are packed with food stalls with all kinds of kebabs available throughout the evening

One particular shop, Indian Biryani, serves up some delicious Haleem. This was the only beef item available and a (right) container of haleem for takeaway costs Rs 140. If you want to eat it on the spot, you can find smaller servings for Rs 40, Rs 75 and Rs 130

Several stalls are overflowing lachha or sevia (semolina), a staple to have with milk
