IIEST revises exam timings after protest

IIEST Shibpur has tweaked the timings of its end-semester examinations because of the heatwave. The institute took the decision after students staged a protest in front of outgoing director Parthasarathi Chakrabarti s office on Sunday evening complaining about their inconvenience. The institute said in a notice on Monday that the end-semester examinations of the BTech and MTech courses scheduled to be held from 10am to 1pm would now be held between 8.30am and 11.30am. The examinations scheduled from 2pm to 5pm will be held between 4pm and 7pm, says a notice signed by the institute s joint registrar, academic.

The examinations were scheduled to start from April 29. They will now start from May 1.
