Audible has released an audiobook, titled Kamal Haasan: A Cinematic Journey by K. Hariharan. The audiobook explores the career of the iconic actor, who started his career as a child artiste and later delivered blockbusters in his career. From films like Apoorva Sagodharargal or Appu Raja (in Bollywood), Sadma, Awai Shanmughi or Chachi 420 (in Bollywood) to the recent Indian 2 and many more, Kamal Haasan still manages to keep audiences hooked with his screen presence.
‘I realized that if I needed to march further into the minefield of cinema, I needed to keep a role model, a mentor, in constant observation. And how fortunate I was to have an actor like Kamal in my sight all the time’, said Rajinikanth about the book. Mani Ratnam was of the opinion, ‘It is such a pleasure when there's an actor who delivers more than you can imagine ... He brings credibility to the lines and makes it so effortless. Apart from his ability to emote so well, he is also a master of technique’. And Amitabh Bachchan said, ‘The kind of work Kamal has done is difficult to believe. Each of his films is filled with so much reality. He puts so much effort into each film and each of his roles. It's quite amazing.’
So, you know this has to be on your list, right? Tune in here. The book is also available as hardback and ebook, and is published by HarperCollins. You can grab a copy here.
