India’s series win against this Zimbabwe side was pretty much expected. Just that they had to wait until the fourth game, having lost the opener last week.

In the fourth T20I in Harare on Saturday, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (93 not out off 53 balls) and captain Shubman Gill (unbeaten on 58 off 39 balls) overhauled the opposition’s modest total of 152/7 in just 15.2 overs. The 10-wicket win earned India the series with a game to spare, giving them an unassailable 3-1 lead.

Jaiswal, though, missed out on what would have been his second T20I century, after the bowlers restricted Zimbabwe to just over 150. The left-hander looked set for a century, but didn’t get enough strike.

However, the pedestrian bowling of the Zimbabweans aside, Jaiswal ensured he spent some good time out in the middle, hitting 13 boundaries and a maximum.

Brief scores: Zimbabwe 152/7 in 20 ovs (Sikandar Raza 46; Khaleel Ahmed 2/32). India 156/0 in 15.2 ovs (Yashasvi Jaiswal 93 n.o., Shubman Gill 58 n.o.). India won by 10 wickets.
