Jaidip Mukerjea Tennis Academy in association with Orbitz travel is arranging a trip to China to see the top eight players in action during the Masters Cup.
Apart from the Shanghai meet, the trip also includes sightseeing in Beijing and the Great Wall of China.
“We are expecting 40-50 people, including some tennis players, for the trip. It’s going to be a mixture of experiencing some top class tennis and fun,” former Davis Cup captain Mukerjea said on Wedne-sday.
“This is our first endeavour of such kind in India. If successful, we can also organise such trips to Wimbledon and US Open,” said an Orbitz official.
Gourav Modi made it to the pre-quarter finals of the one-frame handicap meet at Outram Club on Wednesday. He got past Brijesh Damani by 85-71.
