Calcutta: Tata Steel is organising Indian women’s first Thar Desert Expedition-2007 under the leadership of Bachendri Pal, according to a release.

The camel safari across the Great Indian Desert, from Bhuj to Rann of Kutch across Gujarat and then Rajasthan, covering mostly the wilderness and border outposts and ending at Wagah border will cover more than 2000 km. The Expedition will take off from Bhuj on Sunday.
