Sharjah: The Royal Challengers Bangalore had begun IPL VII with a bang, winning matches with ease. But two back-to-back defeats have pegged them back a little.
The RCB’s strength is obviously their batting, but their bowlers have been quite impressive as well. That’s the reason Yuvraj Singh, a senior member of the side, is full of praise for Varun Aaron and Yuzvendra Chahal.
“I am mighty pleased with the way Aaron has bowled so far. As an Indian, it is heart-warming to see a young Indian bowler consistently hitting the 145kmph-mark and making the ball rip and zip on the pitch,” Yuvraj said.
“I must add here that bowling at a speed of 145kmph is a humongous effort on his part. Trust me, for someone who knows a thing or two about injuries, illnesses and recoveries, coming out of all this and performing like this is not easy at all,” Yuvraj added.
Varun has played three games and scalped six wickets.
“Fast bowling is an extremely tough job and even tougher it is to come out of injury and get your rhythm back,” Yuvraj said.
Praising leggie Chahal’s performance, Yuvraj said that he is a young talented spinner with a few tricks up his sleeves and that with time, he will become better and smarter.
“Chahal is a young talented spinner with few tricks up his sleeves. At this age, he knows how to mix them. So with time, he will become better and smarter,” he said.
